Available in classic Peterson shapes the Irish Made Army briar pipe was introduced by Peterson using the Army mount as it is now known.
In the First World War a soldier couldn't get his favourite pipe repaired easily, so if he broke his peg he took an old bullet casing and hammered it onto the shank, the stem with the broken peg could then be shoved into the other end, not pretty but he got his smoke.
The Peterson Irish Made Army tobacco pipe is boxed with a dust bag which could also make the perfect gift.
